Feels good, requires too much attention...then broke August 28, 2010 Garreth Biegun (Providence, RI) This definitely feels good, and the rotating balls do apply good pressure to your feet. Also the counter rotation applies nice shiatsu. But the unit is built to cheaply so fails in a few ways... 1) THe motor is too weak, any full weight slows it down you have to hold your leg so that only partial weight is on it. 2) It only covers part of your foot so you're moving around a lot 3) Mine burned out and failed in about 4 weeks. I know the unit was built cheaply because the paint job on the ball wore off in about 1 week.
Decent massager, but a little expensive for what you get. August 5, 2010 Steve It's got a nice kneading action, but doesn't really knead deeply. The warming effect is sort of limited. It's decent, but I'm not writing a letter home about the quality of this product for its price.
I can run again! July 24, 2010 G. Kellner (Westfield, MA USA) You can say what you want about this product, but I LOVE it! I have had Plantar fasciitis since last year, and no matter what I did, it was amazingly intractable. Until I tried this! It got rid of most of the pain within two months! I can run again! Trust me, frustrated runners are very annoying people. Now, I'm happy and my whole family is relieved. After I run, the pain flares up a little, but I use this for a little while and it goes away again. The coating does rub off the little balls, and the massage is not relaxing in any way, but if you, too, are a runner suffering from plantar's fasciitis, then try this product.
Waste of money! July 9, 2010 James F. Jacks (Atl GA) I purchased one, it lasted 10 minutes, then the motor burned up. I followed the directions, its just poorly made with cheap materials. VERY low quality.
The Sharper Image version has an advantage. June 17, 2010 A. Small (Madison, WI) I've owned both the Homedics version and the Sharper Image version. The massage and heat functions are practically the same for both versions. I bought the Homedics version first because it was cheaper. However, it overheated and stopped working within a couple of months. The Sharper Image massager shuts off after 20 minutes of use, so there is less of a chance that it will overheat. If you are careful about how long you use it, the Homedics one will be OK for you. If you don't want to worry about overuse, you might want to go with the Sharper Image version.
